About Us
Potatoes are our passion… Since Angus Wilson
started the business from the family farm in 1980s we have grown from strength
to strength. We now employ over 100 staff who work from our 6 acre site in
County Armagh. We are one of the premier potato packers and processors in
Ireland. We hold key accounts with many of the leading food retailers in the
country. Not only do we supply a branded Wilson’s Country range we also offer
various own label ranges, exemplifying the trust placed in the company.
Investment: One of the keys to our development is the continual
investment in the company. Investment in our premises, our staff and our growers
ensures that we offer a quality product and excellent service. We want to help
retailers make the most out of their potato category so that consumers get what
they want.
Innovation...and inspiration! We strive to make people inspired by
potatoes…the poor potato can get a bit of a bad press so that is why we are
constantly innovating. We challenge ourselves by evolving our variety portfolio,
our packaging and also our production processes in order to make yours the best
potato experience. We want you to realize how exciting potatoes actually are!
By their nature, potatoes are seasonal, meaning we can handle up to 30 different
varieties of potatoes in one year. This equates to about 3.5 million individual
potatoes per week...now that's a lot of potatoes! Dealing with such a vast
number of spuds means we truly are passionate about potatoes.
