Angus Wilson | CEO |
email me
Angus was brought up on a farm in Richhill Co Armagh.
After going to agricultural college in Edinburgh for 3 years he came back to
work on the family farm in 1986. In 1987 Angus created a new business called
Wilson’s Country selling “floury” potatoes to shops in Lisburn and Belfast. The
shoppers loved these potatoes reminding them of how “potatoes used to taste”.
Over the years since then Wilson’s Country has grown beyond his dreams. The
success initially, Angus puts down to the total help and support of his family.
Building on that as the business grew, a dedicated team of staff evolved who
have continued to professionally make Wilson’s Country what it is today. Outside
of Wilson’s Country, Angus is a director of Fields of Life, a charity with a
Christian ethos which is involved in development work in East Africa mainly
focusing on building schools and digging wells for the local communities.
